Indian Startups Take Center Stage at Gulfood 2026

Eight high-potential Indian startups at Gulfood 2026 will showcase innovative food and agri-tech solutions in Dubai. They were selected from over 100 applicants through a national screening process.

Their participation supports India’s Farm to Foreign vision—turning local produce into global exports. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the final lineup this week.

These startups will exhibit under the BHARATI Pavilion, run by APEDA. The pavilion sits in the Startup Zone at Dubai World Trade Centre. It highlights export-ready agri-food and agri-tech innovators.

But India’s presence isn’t just about technology. A dedicated Culinary Area will feature live cooking demos by a top chef. This zone celebrates India’s rich food heritage and regional flavors. It also shows how versatile Indian ingredients can be on the global stage.

India’s total exhibition space has doubled since last year—now 1,434 square metres. A record 161 exhibitors will attend. They represent processed foods, fresh produce, pulses, grains, beverages, and value-added products.

The timing is strategic. Global buyers want sustainable, traceable, and innovative food. These startups offer exactly that—blending tradition with tech.

APEDA will lead India’s delegation from January 26 to 30. By pairing startups with chefs and exporters, the pavilion tells a full story: India isn’t just supplying food. It’s shaping the future of food systems.

For these eight companies, Gulfood 2026 is more than a trade show. It’s a launchpad—where innovation meets international demand.
