ANKPA, Nigeria, Sept 4, 2025 – The United Pan-Africanist Movement (UPAM) advanced its agenda on Tuesday during the Northern Youth Summit in Ankpa, where traditional rulers, senior government officials, and youth leaders gathered to discuss empowerment, values, and sustainable leadership.

The event featured the Ejeh of Ankpa as Royal Father of the Day, with representatives of the Commissioner of Police, the Chief of Defense Staff, the Executive Vice Chairperson of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the National Secretary General, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation all in attendance.

Summit discussions centered on policy, innovation, and rehabilitation strategies for youth development. Participants stressed the importance of relaying complaints to the NCC and emphasized creating sustainable opportunities for young people.

UPAM described its participation as a strategic move ahead of its official launch, highlighting that building partnerships through such platforms will ensure broader support for its future programs and initiatives.

Africa Arise Summit 2025

UPAM also took part in the Africa Arise Summit 2025, hosted by convener Dr. Henry Dubem, founder of The Golden Role Africa and lead facilitator of the ARISE initiative. The summit honored King Makers and Community Service Heroes for outstanding contributions, while youth talent from The Lioners Academy showcased the next generation of leaders.

“We see these gatherings as vital to reinforcing our vision of Pan-African unity, leadership through service, and grassroots empowerment,” said Comr. Williams John, UPAM General Secretary.

The United Pan-Africanist Movement stated that its presence at both summits underscores its mission to mobilize youth, expand continental partnerships, and prepare for the official launch of its programs.
